Hello! Welcome to the Wonderstone Blog. Wonderstone is a company focused on historic preservation. This includes: archaeological sites, historic buildings, and landscapes. This blog will focus on topics of discussion surrounding preservation. Sometimes this will be just a little vignette about a historic place, structure, or building. Other times the topics will cover current events regarding historic preservation as well as legislation, laws, and the practice of historic preservation.  

The purpose of the company, and the goal of this blog, is to promote community resilience. The more one understands the history of a place, the more that place becomes valued. The more one understands how historic preservation is practiced, the more likely they are to participate in preservation in their community. Preservation as a community value leads to good resource planning. This is how preservation contributes to community resilience.
